The SANREM CRSP is managed by the Office of International Research, Education, and Development at Virginia Tech.
The SANREM CRSP Competitive Grants Bridging Program for fiscal years 2005 and 2006 was designed to support high-impact, short-term research activities that capitalized on earlier SANREM program efforts and contributed to current SANREM inquiry areas. These activities aimed to add value to previous SANREM accomplishments through expanded technology transfer interventions, policy or impact studies, additional publications, and/or contributions to the establishment of the Phase III SANREM Knowledge Base. BA-2: Sustainable land use and biodiversity conservation in the Andes: scaling-up SANREM-Andes research

Over the past decade, the SANREM-Andes program has conducted interdisciplinary and intersectoral research at multiple levels with diverse stakeholders in the mountainous sites of Nanegal and Cotacachi, Ecuador. [Read More]
BA-3: Analysis required for Payments for Watershed Environmental Services (PWES)

This project addresses payments for watershed environmental services (PWES), an innovative yet infrequently used method to reward conservation activities in the upper reaches of drainage basins to improve hydrology and other factors at lower elevations. [Read More]
