Study Abroad and take courses in your discipline!

There are numerous opportunities for Virginia Tech students to study abroad. With close to 70 bilateral exchange programs in place, it is possible for students in every Virginia Tech major to find relevant classes abroad. Many students are able to take courses abroad in their discipline, while other students prefer to take electives or study a foreign language abroad. In either case, there are numerous opportunities for you to take classes that will fulfill major and degree requirements so you can stay on track towards graduation.

Advising Grids for Bilateral Exchanges

The following advising grids (in PDF format) show the types of academic classes offered at partner universities with which Virginia Tech has an active bilateral student exchanges. You can also access these advising grids and ask follow-up questions by visiting the Education Abroad office in 1820 Litton Reaves. Make sure you speak with an academic advisor about the individual classes you wish to take overseas and how those classes will fulfill VT requirements.
